SOG 47 Audio You Didn't Loose Your energy

There is a kind of tired that sleep doesn't seem to fix

You wake up hoping today will feel different. Yet before the day has really begun, you already feel behind. So, you do what you've always done.

For many years, that approach worked. It carried you through busy careers, raising families, caring for aging parents, meeting deadlines, and showing up for everyone who depended on you.

But somewhere along the way, pushing through stopped producing the same results.

If you've been wondering why, you're not imagining it.

Midlife changes more than our calendars. It changes our bodies.

The hormonal shifts that come with this season can affect sleep, stress, recovery, and the way our bodies produce and use energy.

The routines that once helped us bounce back don't always work the way they once did.

That can be frustrating.

It can also leave us questioning ourselves.

We wonder if we've become less disciplined, less motivated, or somehow fallen behind.

I don't think that's the story.

I think we're being asked to understand ourselves in a new way.

Many of us have spent decades proving we could handle almost anything. We became dependable. Capable. Resilient. We learned to keep going, even when we were tired, because there were people counting on us.

There is nothing wrong with being strong.

But strength was never meant to mean ignoring what our bodies were trying to tell us.

Perhaps the fatigue you've been feeling isn't something to fight.

Perhaps it's something to understand.

Our bodies have a remarkable way of getting our attention.

Sometimes they whisper. Sometimes they insist.

A restless night. An afternoon crash.

The feeling that your energy disappears long before the day is over.

Those experiences aren't interruptions to your life.

They are part of your life now.

And when we stop judging them, we can begin listening to them.

That's where change begins.

Your energy hasn't disappeared.

It has changed.

This season isn't asking you to become the woman you were twenty years ago.

It's inviting you to become the woman you are today.

That begins by paying attention with curiosity instead of criticism.

Because understanding ourselves has always been the beginning of living well.

What is one change you've noticed in your energy that you've been trying to push past rather than understand? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
